Videoblog on CAP: the future of our food Netherlands

Dutch city boy Samuel Levie recently found out that Dutch agriculture is largely subsidized by the European Union (EU) through the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). These subsidies amount to around 50 billion euro’s a year; that is a staggering 38% of the EU budget!

In this videoblog Samuel will travel the Dutch country side looking for answers. His questions? Why do farmers and horticulturalists need that much money? How do we treat our animals? And, do young people still want to become a farmer?
